- Use channels for specific purposes instead of making one giant everything channel.
- Keep important information pinned so it does not disappear into the chat history.
- Use roles and permissions deliberately when running a community.

Threads keep side conversations from taking over the main channel.
- Roles are useful for both permissions and simple community organisation.
- Forum channels can work well when conversations need to remain searchable.

Pin things people will need again
If somebody will have to ask the same question twice, the answer probably belongs in a pinned message, channel topic or dedicated information channel.
